Today's dream followed the storyline of Cameron's Aliens until the moment they arrive at LV-426 and find out there's no alien ship, no xenomorphs, just a broken transmitter and the whole movie turns into a B-grade rom-com between Ripley and Hicks. Credit roll, alarm clock.

I stood eating ice cream, looking at the bright crescent of the new moon with it's dark side barely discernible. The satellite hung low against light blue hues of the western early evening sky. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and basked in the redolence of new foliage, with a slight hint of wet soil. The silver light mixed with peanut butter and chocolate, mixed with geosmin, mixed with the din of the city and susurrus of branches. Synesthesia and respite.
